record history.
Not just a scorebook. Designed to bottle the memory of a Sunday afternoon and be rediscovered fifty years from now.
Baseball is a game of records, and the best ones are handwritten. There's a specific magic that happens when pen meets paper at the ballpark. It turns a game into a ritual and a fan into a historian. Chalk & Ink brings a premium feel to the timeless tradition of scorekeeping, creating an archival record of the game designed to be passed down long after the final pitch.

Never kept score before? You can learn the basics in one inning. Read our beginner's guide →
A few years ago, my wife and I were in the nosebleeds at Camden Yards when we noticed an older couple a few rows down keeping score in a weather-worn book. In a stadium full of people staring at their phones, this couple was absorbed in their scorebook, in the game, and in each other. Talking, pointing, logging every play together and making memories.
We realized then that we didn't just want to track balls and strikes. We wanted a way to bottle the memory of a Sunday afternoon, to relive it together twenty years later, or to hand it down one day as an archive of our shared memories. We built Chalk & Ink to be that time capsule.
When you pick up a pen or pencil at a ballgame, something shifts. You go from being a spectator to a participant. The game goes faster than you expect. And when the last out is made, you have something only a handful of others in the stadium have and become a part of one of baseball's timeless traditions.
Scoring allows you to be more in tune with every play and every decision. You'll notice things casual fans miss entirely. That's where the real game lives.
Pen in hand, you are present in a way casual fans aren't. Every inning pulls you in deeper. And years later, you can go right back.
A completed scorebook is more than data. It's a time capsule. The games, the players, and your memories. Something real to hold in your hands decades from now.
Your grandparents' generation kept score. Chalk & Ink is built to carry that tradition forward; designed to last generations, not just seasons.
We didn't change the language of baseball. We just gave it a beautiful place to live, whether it's your first game or your fiftieth season.
120 gsm high-opacity ivory stock, tested with every pen you'd bring to the park. Tested for bleed, feathering, ghosting, and pencil erasability.
Water-resistant hardcover with silver foil stamping, tough enough for sunflower seeds and a spilled beer, beautiful enough for the bookshelf.
The Legacy Set's "A Year in 9 Innings" foil spine transforms your season into a volume worth displaying, preserving for whoever comes next.
Industrial double-wire binding allows full 360° fold-over, stays flat on your knee in a cramped stadium seat without losing your place.
Every detail obsessed over, from the typography to the logo. Ghost diamonds and structure that make the layout feel invisible when you don't need it, essential when you do. Built for lifetime scorekeepers, with room for first-timers.
Integrated color strips let you mark pitching changes and substitutions at a glance, keeping your scorecard readable no matter how many arms they use.
Dedicated sections for who you were with, what you ate, and how much you spent, turning every scorecard into a living memory, not just a box score.
12-inning spreads as standard, covering 99.4% of regular season games so the most dramatic nights aren't crammed into the margins.
Forest Stewardship Council-certified paper stock, responsibly sourced and made to last.
A built-in bucket list for baseball's most elusive feats: grand slams, no-hitters, perfect games, and benches clearing. Track what you've witnessed across every season.
Every scoresheet includes a 3D field visualization. Track where the ball went: a line drive to left, a bloop single, a towering homer to right-center. Years from now you'll see exactly what happened on that Thursday night in August.
Baseball is about more than balls and strikes; it's about the memories. Our scorebook embraces that. Each scoresheet has space for the menu, your seat, who you were with, and how much you spent.
Every edition is printed on the same 120gsm ivory stock with the same eminently readable layout. The only difference is how many games you want to score.
